Bhai, the 5th is mehendi, and we need you on the dance floor at sangeet. Your room is sorted.

How it happened

  1. Two clay cups of chai on a car dashboard in monsoon traffic on Outer Ring Road, Bengaluru, where Ananya and Vikram first met

    1.A shared taxi

    Bengaluru, 2019. One cab, two strangers, forty minutes of traffic on Outer Ring Road. By the end of it Vikram had recommended three restaurants and Ananya had corrected him on all of them.

  2. Vikram slipping a diamond engagement ring onto Ananya's finger at dusk, city lights blurred behind them
